 Story of a co-founder of the local brewing company, Mike Ray, and Blue Light Brewing Company(BLBC) in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

    Hi everyone, it passed a long while since I made the last post on my personal blog page. Lots of things happened in my life and most of them were amazing such as getting married, having first, second, and third child, moving to the United States of America in Fayetteville, North Carolina, getting my license in Real Estate, buying, first, second, the third house and on the way helping few awesome folks to sell and buy a couple of homes. 

    Welcome to Fayetteville the city of the brave, you will ask me why so? The reason is that our town is considered a military town due to the fact that it is located next to the biggest military base in the nation and perhaps in the world, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. If you make a quick check on Google and on Wikipedia you will find out a little about the origins of the name of the settlement and the main idea that I've got before moving here is that Fayetteville has great dinings, small cozy shops, and the downtown sky view with its traditional red brick. The city is quite an ethnic melting pot with people from all over the United States and around the world, Asia, Europa, Africa, Central, and South America. 

    The first couple of months after moving here I discovered craft beer and got fascinated about this movement. I've read articles on the internet, watched videos on Youtube, and most of all I was tasting different kinds of craft beer from brewing companies from one coast to another. It is incredible the boom this industry had taken in the last twenty years and the cultural impact that it made towards the beer as a product associated with the Bars to something more family-oriented and place of gathering in the afternoons or weekends spent socializing.

    In Fayetteville, North Carolina there are several craft breweries and today we will talk about Bright Light Brewing Company. About two weeks ago we had a Daddy weekend in the city with my kids and after a movie, launch, and a car show, we passed by BLBC to check it out what is all about. A few days before just saw a post about music and beer downtown. It was hot, humid however there was a continuous stream of people coming and leaving, few vendors, few food concessions and music, rock music playing inside the factory and on the stage near it. 

    Beer was awesome, food was good and the best was enjoying the launch with very nice music pop-rock, rock and roll, heavy metal, oldies, and some newer songs as a background. There I meet Mike, the co-owner and co-founder of the Brewery, and overall a very nice man. We arranged a meeting this Wednesday and it was amazing. 

Mike is originally from this area, maybe an hour drive max. He grew up in a family of mechanics so he got very handy and he is still enjoying to this day crafting different things such as building a motor or a car from pieces or building a bar stand or a play table for his 12 years old boy. 

The craft beers, growing the business, expanding, and creating new flavors may take most of his time now, however it was a long road to reach here. For almost twenty years Mike was in the art business, most know to common folks as the tattoo industry. About 10 years, Mike was mastering the craft and another 11 years successfully ran his own Tatto Shop. The first time he discovered the craft beer was in Oregon, on the west coast where he lived for a while, and with this, he started to get more interested in the process. Having friends brewing beer helped Mike to get more and more in this Craft beer thing and soon he started to brew himself. 

New passion didn't pay for itself and for a while Mike was combining the tattoo business and craft beer. On the way to learn how the business works and different ways of creating beer, Mike had some time spent with another local craft beer guy, that opened on the outskirts of Fayetteville, North Carolina the brewing company know to most in town as Dirtbag Ales Brewery and Taproom. 

With time Mike's passion for craft beer grew stronger as well the knowledge about production and how to manage a brewing business so as a result together with a few partners opened the first taproom(20th April 2017) and within a couple of years later(2019), they expanded the business. Now they got two locations downtown Fayetteville, North Carolina. 

What people living in Fayetteville or visiting should know about this place? Well, there are quite a few things: First there are food trucks available every day: Tuesdays are California Tacos and Thursdays are RBurges's Day; Second: the taste and the flavor of the beers make this brewery stay apart as well as seasonal flavors; Third: this venue is family-friendly so on weekends you can see lot's of families with their kids and pets here; fourth: music, music, music, drinking beer, having some great conversation over something tasty goes even better with nice music on the background so every now and then there is music in the program; fifth and not the last one is the location that is convenient and is easy to reach to almost all part for the town from here. Personally, I have an admiration for this country and its people who make America the great place it is today. I lived most of my life in Europe and a short time in the Middle East, however after almost three years here my fascination didn't diminish, it increased. Great respect for Mike Ray that with his art of crafting beer can reach a vast audience that provides both benefits of generating the money for living and expanding business from one side and the spiritual, artistic, personal satisfaction when people understand, like, and prize his crafted beer and the work of his entire team, on the other side.

Sunt mai bine de opt luni scurse de cand mama, mi-a dat vestea fericita. Cel mai probabil momentul magic care te-a adus pe lume a fost intr-o seara frumoasa de iunie, la Vadul lui Voda, langa Chisinau, la putin timp dupa nunta noastra. Fratiorul tau Mihaita intre timp s-a facut badea, a implinit anisorul si a primit frezura, prea des il luau ceilalti drept fetita. Tu abia urmai sa te nasti. In tot acest rastimp cat te-am asteptat am reusit sa vizitam mai multi orase din Italia si sa serbam anul nou in Seychelles, toate impreuna desi tu le-ai trait prin emotiile si simturile mamei.
Inainte de a te naste aici in Abu Dhabi ai inceput furtuni, metaforice la mine la aeroport unde oamenii ai inceput sa fie concediati pe capete sau europenii sa-si dea demisia si sa plece acasa fie furtunile de nisip troienind drumurile si tot ce sat sub cerul liber din singuraticul Shakboot city, unde locuim de aproape in an.
Despre alegerea numelui tau s-a facut mare caz in Europa(mai exact la Bucuresti) si aici in Emirate mai exact fiind printre numele vehiculate fiind Anastasia, Sophia, Fiona( la care eu m-am opus cat am putut din cauza desenului animat despre capcaunul Shrek) si finalmente dupa lungi tratative si meditatii orientale am ajuns la numele tau Ioana-Amelia-Luna Espinosa-Cerga. Recunosc numele e cam lung dar e deosebit si o fetita deosebita merita si un nume minunat. In timp tu vei decide cum sa semnezi si ce nume sa alegi a fi trecut in Catalog la facultate si mai departe in viata dar pana una alta va trebui sa deprinzi un scris cursiv,caligrafic si rapid ca sa-i prinzi pe colegii din urma la probele scrise de la matematica sau geografie.
Tot aeroportul din Abu Dhabi in special din tura mea stiu ca te asteptam pe lume, stiu despre alarma falsa de inainte a te naste si chiar s-a gasit si un nan de la Vatra Dornei care s-a decis sa-ti fie parinte duhovnicesc. Toate insa pas cu pas.
Suntem plini de bucurie si nerabdare sa te avem printre noi mica noastra printesa. Am certitudinea ca viata si destinul are pentru tine o multime de surprize frumoase si provocari pe masura ambitiei si dorintei de a reusi si a deveni remarcata, acceptata si fericita, stiind ca ne vei avea mereu pe noi aproape pentru un sfat si ajutor in momentele dificile si mai ales in cele de bucurie, caci asa le impleteste viata pe amandoua.

Ianuarie 2017 si in strop din Luna urmatoare

Anul 2017 a inceput interesant. Am batt un pic drumurile de munte, am facut o baie pe o plaja Magnificat din Oceanul Indian, am tras un fum si o doza serioasa de paranoia, am  facut cateva pose si filmulete iar cand anul nou sa soseasca am dat peste cap cateva cincizeacuri am schimbat cateva sarutari cu Roxanne si Mihail-Alexandru dupa care am urmarit meciul Liverpool Man City asa ca un fel de afterparty introduced-o noapte frumoase cu ritmuri latino in fun ad, oceanul inaintea noastra cat o galaxie necuprinsa si cateva focuri de artificii ici colo stinghere rosietice si adiind a pace si bucurie de noul an aboard pravalit peste calendar si pendulul ceasornicului.
O zi petrecuta in aeroport asteptand zborul urmate de altele imbarcand oaspeti, fac and check-in si mai mereu vu ochiul la acelasi pendul cand plecam acasa. Overtime mai nimica dar gazelle care ai marcat Luna au fost zborul lui Robbie Williams si a lui Armin Van Buren pe care I-am imbarcat la mai Putin de o saptamana. Deci dupa un an si un pic in sfarsit am vazut si ey cateva vedete, ca o mai fi fost nici nu neg dar cunostintele mele de vedete Bollywood iene se reduce la Amir khan si atat.
Pe final, asteptam entuziasmati nasterea suriorii lui Mihai, pregatim planurile pentru vacanta din Philippines si mergem voiosi maintenance cu speranta si credinta ca Domnul le va purta de grins tuturor si are atintit si un ochi mereu si asupra noastra. Toate bune.

Toata lumea la bord!!!

O schimbarea care a survenit in viata mea de  de curand a resetat prioritatile vietii cotidiene pe alt taram. Cine a spus ca e greu sau usor sa fii sot, tata sau ginere a avut un dram de inspiratie. Pana la momentul in care iei viata asa cum este ea si treci cu vederea nimicnicia oamenilor limitati si decorezi casa inimii in culori de sarbatoare, perceptia prinde alta turnura. Mai putin somn, oboseala si iritarea din miez de noapte se topesc vazandu-ti odrasla zambind sau gangurind ceva numai de el cunoscut avant sclipirea aceea in ochi specifica doar bebelusilor. Din experienta mea minuscula de la aeroport am ajuns sa fac paralele cu existenta noastra cotidiana cum ar fi denied boarding, refuzul sau respingerea cumva de a accede la ceva job, relatie intima sau de prietenie sau simplul refuzul la o hora in sat sa dansezi cu fata care ti-a placut. In viata toata lumea face check in numai ca cineva are viitor si viata asigurata sau confirmed seat, in timp ce altii isi croniesc norocul, luand scanned acela care nu si-a luat #locul# in serios(no show). Planul c omuleanul nostru pleaca in calatorie cu urmator avion, o noua sansa, intamplare sau oportunitate ivita mai tarziu. Essential sa nu ramai in standby adica nici aici nici acolo, exista o singura directie inainte, la mai mult si la mai bine, toata lumea la bord, Decolam!!!

Reviewing back the thoughts of four years ago it's not a great deal to notice the changes arrived in time. In order to make such statements are coming the books which i read the people i meat and the life experiences of recent years. I'll never forget the Chesecake Factory, Sri Lanka holiday or parties on the beach or parks with great people, atmosphere and magic pepsi. As someone said in life everything is all about fighting your demons and make it happen, happen what? that's the main question and the answer of it you'll find inside of your inner world and soul, what's the dream and vision you created in your mind about your life being, destiny and what so ever.
Turning around  the shoulder of last year new years eve, i can notice almost all of that thinks in front of me, reason to be happy or to search more and push more the limits, everything what you have is the result of your desire and your thoughts, for some it work for some it may be not but this is out of my business.
Dale Carnegie, Robert Kiosaky, Napolen Hill, Donald Trump, Steve Jobs, Mihail Bulgakov, Charles Dickens, Karl Marx, Sir Conan Doyle, Sun Tzu, Osho, Robert Swarma, Richard Branson, Bear Grylles and so many other we my close and real friends, sourse of inspiration and motivation to push it forward, give it more sense to simple common things that surrounding us and affects us massively. It was an totaly fantastic year of my life that starts with a holiday in Phillipines and of joy, paradise nature and amazing culture. Months by we get a car and moving to Abu Dhabi in our life appears Mihai-Alexandru, world class explorer even before his birth:))The blessing were following in row so we have mama visiting us of couple days being impressed by @india in dubai@ and Abu Dhabi, joining new  company and preparing for the first our Christmas in the family, Roxanne, me, Mihail-Alexandru si mama Rosa.
